The EICO PSD is a passive demodulator/detector probe that demodulates AM carriers, allowing an oscilloscope to display the modulation waveform rather than the RF carrier itself. Period EICO documentation specifies a carrier frequency range of 150 kHz to 250 MHz.

It was designed for servicing and alignment applications in radio and television electronics, allowing an oscilloscope to function as a waveform tracer, gain analyzer and alignment indicator.

This example includes the original-style probe lead arrangement with alligator ground clip and connection leads, as pictured.
