The unit provides galvanic isolation of at least 1 kV DC between connections, making it suitable for industrial automation and communication systems where electrical isolation and reliable serial data transmission are required.
It features one 9-pin Sub-D RS232 port with PC pin assignment and one switchable 9-pin Sub-D RS422/RS485 port. RS485 supports both 2-wire and 4-wire operation with automatic or handshake-controlled transceiver operation.
